Iranian play ‘Cooing of Shrine Pigeons’ written by Ali Reza Naderi is set to be rehashed during the mourning month of Muharram in Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The theater presentation of Naderi’s work is still in rehearsal, the stage director Mahian told local media on Friday, adding, “The first batch of public shows for this play was performed in 2008.”

The helmer noted the play will be brought to the stage again with her own approach.

‘Cooing of Shrine Pigeons’ will be restaged from October 5 at Shahrzad Theater Complex in Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Cast for the show includes names such as Marzieh Badragheh as well as on screen actors Behnaz Jafari,  Atefeh Razavi and Shaghayegh Dehghan.

Muslims across the globe mark martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) annually which falls in the Islamic lunar month of Muharram. The first day of the mourning month has already started in Iran.
